Sell Vinyl Records Near Me in North Dakota

Why North Dakota Sellers Reach Out to DJ Records™

Selling records can feel uncertain, especially when online pricing ranges wildly, and buyers make bold claims. Our approach is different.

We review collections carefully and speak plainly about what we can purchase and why. There are no guarantees and no inflated promises — just an honest conversation about your records and whether they align with current demand.

For clarity: we do not conduct appraisals or provide written valuations for insurance, estate, or tax purposes. Our goal is to review collections with purchase intent and make a direct cash offer when it’s a fit.

What We Commonly Purchase

Collections across North Dakota vary widely — from well-kept shelves in climate-controlled homes to long-stored boxes discovered during cleanouts. Depending on condition and demand, we often buy:

  • Full vinyl record collections (small to large)
  • Rare and vintage LPs
  • 45s and select 78s
  • Jazz, rock, soul, funk, blues, country, folk, punk, metal, hip-hop, and more
  • Classical recordings and specialty labels
  • Original pressings, imports, and limited editions
  • Promotional copies and certain DJ records
  • Box sets and complete artist discographies

You don’t need to sort or research every title before contacting us. A general overview is enough to start the conversation.

A Clear, Practical Selling Process

We keep the process simple and low-pressure:

  1. Contact us by phone or through our website with a basic description of the collection.
  2. Share details such as approximate quantities, genres, notable artists, and photos, if available.
  3. We review the information to determine if the collection aligns with what we actively purchase.
  4. If it’s a match, we discuss logistics and present a cash offer for the records we’re prepared to buy.

If you decide to move forward, payment is made promptly upon completion of the purchase.

What Shapes a Cash Offer

Vinyl value depends on more than just the artist’s name. When reviewing a North Dakota collection, we typically consider:

  • Overall record, condition, and playability
  • Jacket condition and completeness
  • Pressing details and label variations
  • Current collector demand
  • Consistency and focus of the collection
  • Quantity and organization

Our approach is grounded in real buyer intent and current market conditions — not speculation.

Depending on timing and travel routes, in-home visits may be available, and we can also discuss structured alternatives when geography or scheduling requires flexibility.

Respectful, Relationship-Driven Service

Records often carry personal meaning — years of collecting, favorite concerts, or family memories. We approach each interaction with professionalism and courtesy, taking the time to answer your questions clearly so you can make an informed decision.

As an independent buyer, we value long-term trust. You’ll receive direct communication and a steady process from first contact through completion.

Jeremy made a house call in July 2026. Professional. Very nice guy. Super-knowledgeable. Unfortunately my collection was worth almost nothing - got $60 bucks for a few assorted 45s and LPs. Jeremy was apologetic that he couldn't buy more of my mountains of stuff. I was appreciative because at least I found out from a knowledgeable pro what I had of value and what I didn't have. Now I can donate or give away the rest of my collection knowing I'm not accidentally giving away a goldmine or any individual nuggets.

I had thousands of records that I had to get rid of for a fair price and crossed DJ Records through conducting online research of potential buyers. I recently had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with Jeremy who was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Jeremy had a keen knowledge of my obscure collection of underground Punk, Heavy Metal and Hardcore 7 inch eps, lps and demo tapes. Jeremy also explained the condition and value of my collection and took my collection of 45 RPMS and lps dating from the 1950’s to 1980’s off my hands. It was a pleasure doing business with a true professional that knows the true value of a person’s collection instead of going to local used record stores that know pretty much nothing and offer next to nothing. Jeremy is an awesome person that is fun to talk music with and really knows his stuff. I am very happy with the price my collection sold for and would highly recommend DJ Records to anybody that wishes to sell their collection.

I recently sold many of my dad's jazz and R&B albums to DJ Records, and worked with Christian who was professional and thorough. Unfortunately, an album from my personal collection got mixed in with albums that were sold. After contacting and expressing the issue with the main office, the office contacted Christian, Christian located the album and delivered it back to me. I appreciate his patience and understanding, and his search through the many albums to locate my misplaced one. I am glad to have reduced a good many records from my dad's collection, and that those records can be purchased by other music lovers, thanks to DJ Records. Many thanks!

Had the pleasure of doing business with dj records , they gave me a appointment time of 12-2 and they made it by 1:59. The person that showed up was more versed in hip hop which i only had a few. But anyways i got rid of a stack of records that i wasn't to interested in and got a cool 25 bucks . All and all a great way to spend my afternoon.
