Have a vinyl record collection in New Mexico that’s taking up space—boxes in a spare room, shelves you no longer use, or records you’ve inherited and aren’t sure what to do with?

Maybe it’s a few milk crates of well-loved classics, or a larger collection that’s followed you through different stages of life. Either way, selling doesn’t have to mean endless listings, meetups, or guessing at prices.

Why New Mexico Sellers Choose DJ Records™

Many people reach out because they want a simple, professional transaction — without pressure, without hype, and without the “corporate” feel that can make selling personal collections uncomfortable.

With DJ Records™, you get direct communication, realistic expectations, and a relationship-driven approach. We’ll answer questions clearly and talk you through what matters in today’s vinyl market so you can make a decision that feels right.

To keep things transparent: we do not conduct appraisals (including written appraisals for estates, insurance, or tax purposes), and we don’t guarantee outcomes. We can review what you have and, when it’s a fit for our buying needs, make a cash offer.

What We Buy

New Mexico collections come in all shapes — carefully cataloged shelves, DJ-era mixes, and “found” boxes from closets and garages. Depending on condition and demand, we often buy:

Not sure what you’ve got? That’s common — you don’t need to sort everything perfectly before reaching out.

A Simple Selling Process

We keep the steps clear and manageable:

  1. Contact us by phone or via our website and share the basics (number of records, styles, and any notable artists/labels).
  2. Share photos if you can — even a few quick shots of spines, stacks, or standout titles help.
  3. We review the details and confirm whether the collection fits what we’re actively buying.
  4. If it’s a match, we discuss the most practical option (pickup/shipping depending on location and size) and present a cash offer for the records we’re prepared to purchase.

If the offer works for you, we move forward, and payment will be made promptly upon completion of the purchase.

What Influences a Cash Offer

Record pricing is rarely “one number per box.” What matters is a combination of condition, pressing details, and current demand. When we put together an offer, we typically look at:

  • Vinyl condition and playability (scratches, warping, surface noise)
  • Sleeve/jacket condition (ring wear, seam splits, inserts, completeness)
  • Pressing and release details (originals vs later runs, label variations)
  • Collector demand and listening trends right now
  • The overall consistency and focus of the collection
  • Quantity and how efficiently the collection can be reviewed and moved

We aim to be plainspoken about what we’re seeing, what stands out, and what realistically drives value.

Serving New Mexico and the Mainland U.S.

DJ Records™ works with sellers across the mainland United States, and we prioritize well-populated areas where most collections are located — not tiny, unpopulated places.

In New Mexico, that commonly includes:

  • Albuquerque and the greater metro
  • Rio Rancho
  • Santa Fe
  • Las Cruces
  • Other established communities along the I‑25 and I‑40 corridors

Depending on timing and travel routes, in-home visits may be available, and we can also discuss structured alternatives when scheduling or distance requires it.

Professional, Respectful, No-Pressure Service

For a lot of people, records aren’t just “stuff” — they’re memories, milestones, and music tied to real life. We treat collections accordingly, with care and courtesy throughout the process.

You’ll get a clear conversation, straightforward next steps, and the space to decide without being pushed.

Jeremy made a house call in July 2026. Professional. Very nice guy. Super-knowledgeable. Unfortunately my collection was worth almost nothing - got $60 bucks for a few assorted 45s and LPs. Jeremy was apologetic that he couldn't buy more of my mountains of stuff. I was appreciative because at least I found out from a knowledgeable pro what I had of value and what I didn't have. Now I can donate or give away the rest of my collection knowing I'm not accidentally giving away a goldmine or any individual nuggets.

I had thousands of records that I had to get rid of for a fair price and crossed DJ Records through conducting online research of potential buyers. I recently had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with Jeremy who was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Jeremy had a keen knowledge of my obscure collection of underground Punk, Heavy Metal and Hardcore 7 inch eps, lps and demo tapes. Jeremy also explained the condition and value of my collection and took my collection of 45 RPMS and lps dating from the 1950’s to 1980’s off my hands. It was a pleasure doing business with a true professional that knows the true value of a person’s collection instead of going to local used record stores that know pretty much nothing and offer next to nothing. Jeremy is an awesome person that is fun to talk music with and really knows his stuff. I am very happy with the price my collection sold for and would highly recommend DJ Records to anybody that wishes to sell their collection.

I recently sold many of my dad's jazz and R&B albums to DJ Records, and worked with Christian who was professional and thorough. Unfortunately, an album from my personal collection got mixed in with albums that were sold. After contacting and expressing the issue with the main office, the office contacted Christian, Christian located the album and delivered it back to me. I appreciate his patience and understanding, and his search through the many albums to locate my misplaced one. I am glad to have reduced a good many records from my dad's collection, and that those records can be purchased by other music lovers, thanks to DJ Records. Many thanks!

Had the pleasure of doing business with dj records , they gave me a appointment time of 12-2 and they made it by 1:59. The person that showed up was more versed in hip hop which i only had a few. But anyways i got rid of a stack of records that i wasn't to interested in and got a cool 25 bucks . All and all a great way to spend my afternoon.
