The Best Place to Sell Vinyl Records in Missouri

Many sellers consider options like local record shops, online marketplaces, and private collectors when selling vinyl records. While each has pros and cons, working with a trusted vinyl buyer like DJ Records™ would allow for a hassle-free process and competitive offers for your collection.

Why Sell to DJ Records™?

  • We Buy Entire Collections – Unlike many record stores that pick and choose individual records, we specialize in purchasing complete collections. We are interested in whether you have a few hundred records or several thousand.
  • In-Person EvaluationsSelling online comes with risks like shipping costs, listing fees, and unreliable buyers. We make it easy by coming to you, reviewing your records in person, and making a same-day offer.
  • No Waiting, No Hassle – Selling online involves time-consuming tasks, including creating listings, negotiating, and packaging. With DJ Records™, you skip the hassle and get a straightforward offer.
  • Experienced Vinyl Buyers – With years of experience in the vinyl industry, we understand the value of records, from classic rock and jazz to blues, punk, and rare pressings.
  • Competitive Offers – We aim to make sellers a firm offer based on market demand, record condition, and rarity.

What Types of Vinyl Records Do We Buy?

At DJ Records™, we constantly seek out high-quality vinyl records in good condition. While we primarily focus on rock, jazz, blues, soul, funk, metal, punk, hip-hop, and rare collectibles, we consider many genres based on demand.

We typically look for:

  • Classic rock albums from artists like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones.
  • Jazz records from legends like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Thelonious Monk.
  • Blues, soul, and funk from icons like B.B. King, Otis Redding, and James Brown.
  • Heavy metal, punk, and alternative pressings with strong collector demand.
  • Rare and first pressings that hold significant value in the market.

While condition plays a key role, we evaluate each collection individually, considering the rarity and the demand for each record.

Selling your records to DJ Records™ is easy, straightforward, and convenient. Here’s how it works:

  • Contact Us – Call us or fill out our online form with details about your collection.
  • Schedule an Evaluation – We will arrange an in-person visit at your convenience.
  • Get an Offer – After reviewing your collection, we provide an on-the-spot offer.
  • Get Paid – If you accept the offer, we will pay immediately and handle the records.

Selling Vinyl in Missouri: Where We Buy

While DJ Records™ purchases vinyl collections nationwide, we regularly travel throughout Missouri to work directly with collectors. From large cities to small towns, we’re committed to making the selling process easy, fair, and in-person whenever possible.

We frequently visit:

  • St. Louis – A hub for music lovers, home to vibrant record collectors and historic vinyl shops.
  • Kansas City – A city rich in jazz history with a thriving vinyl scene.
  • Springfield & Columbia – Home to universities and collectors looking to sell their records.
  • Smaller Towns & Rural Areas – We will travel to review and purchase your records if you have a collection.

No matter where you’re located in Missouri, we’re ready to help you turn your records into cash, with respect, experience, and convenience.

Why Not Sell to a Local Record Store?

While Missouri has some great local record shops, most stores are selective in what they buy, often offering lower prices due to reselling margins. Additionally, record shops may only be interested in individual high-value items rather than entire collections. If you have an extensive collection, DJ Records™ is the better choice because:

  • We buy in bulk.
  • We offer competitive pricing.
  • We make selling easy with personal visits and immediate payments.

I searched and struggled for quite a while to find a way to pass along my vinyl collection until I found DJ Records. Everything from first contact until Christian boxed up my collection was fair, hassle free and enjoyable. Thank you!
I have had 4 experiences with DJ Records in the past 12 months. Jeremy has been wonderful to deal with and the price I got was so much more then I was offered for a local company. They were a pleasure to deal with.
My brother left me his 65 year old record collection in his Will. I had no idea where to start. DJ Records worked with me to navigate the daunting task of partial liquidation. Great staff. Great experience!
While it may be disappointing to find out your coveted collections aren't as valuable as you thought, DJ Records made a fair deal for what was worth something. After doing much research into selling records on my own, I found that it would be a grueling task to try and sell over 800 records (if you look at the process : you have to mint, clean them up, take pictures, get them online, figure out how to ship, wait for the right buyer). The owner Ron arrived on time, during impending snow and carefully sorted thru each record. He made an offer same day and took all of the records immediately following. I was completely satisfied with the offer knowing I could not have done it on my own.
DJ Records were great .
They were very fair and wonderful to deal with
